Final Collection - 'Beautiful Nightmare'

For my final collection, I used Freud and his ‘Interpretation of Dreams Theory’ as the main concept, as he is such an influential psychologist and an important part of history. His theory gave an intellectual base to the research and influenced all creative decisions made. I also took into consideration the era in which he grew up in, the Victorian Era, as this would have been a huge influence over his theories. The latent and manifest content of the dream was the main focus of research and how the unconscious mind allows repressed feelings (mostly sexual) to be released within a dream.
